Comfortable cinema seats for an enjoyable experience

Each screen has some different seating options, starting with the standard selection. Your regular seat will have a nice cushion top, and a soft bounce to it. You’ll have a cup holder in front of you, and the one on the right is for you. Movie manners matter, like a set table your cup would be on the right. 

At iSense in Odeon – Blanchardstown all seats are plush recliner chairs. You’ll have a table to stack all of your savage snacks on, and you’ll feel the vibrations of sound through the chair. 

The IMAX experience in Odeon also offers recliner seats, albeit a slightly smaller version of the iSense chairs. You’ll still have a a table for your snacks, but again this is slightly smaller. 

All other cinema screens in Blanchardstown have the choice of premier seats. There are a larger style to the standard seats. All have a headrest and are upholstered in leather, a real slick upgrade to enjoy a blockbuster film.

Autism Friendly

It’s no secret, the cinema can be very over-stimulating for guests with autism, sensory difficulties or learning difficulties. On a Sunday morning each month, they show a special screening which they keep the house lights on.

The audio track is set to a lower volume and there are no movie trailers or adverts before the screening. Instead of the ads, the screen is still opened at the same time, but the guests can use this to get used to the area. 

Sight Loss

Audio description is available for movies that the service has been created for. At the cinema, you can ask for a pair of lightweight headphones that allow you to hear the narrator describe the scenes, and body language of the actors.

Movies that are shown in RealD 3D screens will also have a 2D showing each day. This is to allow people with sight loss issues to get the full movie experience. 

Hearing Loss

Odeon cinema offers two options to help those with hearing loss have a fun experience. Some films have open captions, and these help those hard of hearing to enjoy the show. 

All screens have a hearing loop system available, and there is an infra-red system offered in all theatres. 

Restricted Mobility

There is no step access to almost all screens, and wheelchair-friendly screenings are shown in every screen. You can click the ‘Wheelchair friendly’ icon when searching for cinema times at the odeon.
